ABOUT THE EVENT
For entrepreneurs and company founders, it all begins with the vision for a new idea that will change the world. But how do you finance that vision and create a sustainable business? In Southern California entrepreneurs are often unaware of the many options available for financing a small business or startup. Enter “Access to Capital 2016” to answer key questions.
This seminar, part of the South Bay Entrepreneurial Center’s (SBEC) education program for entrepreneurs, will help company founders and executives learn how to overcome the unique financing challenges that face startup companies. The event will provide information on various sources of capital for small businesses and their advantages and disadvantages, including Angel & Venture Capital, Commercial Banks, Small Business Administration (SBA) Lenders and Government Grants and Loan Programs.
The program will be moderated by Joe Platnick, Director Emeritus Pasadena Angels and will feature four distinguished panelists:
- Kristin Hiibner, Ph.D. – Angel Investor and Attorney
- Franklin Monzon, Ph.D. Co-Founder and CEO, Spectradyne
- Myron Perryman Vice President/Program Manager, SBA Loan Program at Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Corporation
- Alex Bayer Co-Founder and Chief Genius Officer (CGO) of Genius Juice
